ABOUT US
Riverland Scent Dogs is a private, not-for-profit organisation in South Australia dedicated to developing extraordinary Scent Detection Dogs. We specialise in searching for missing people and locating human remains.
Our team of volunteers relies on self - funding and generous donations from the community and Australian Businesses. We have been incredibly lucky to receive equipment donations from multiple businesses - learn more about our supporters here.
We have well over 20 years experience training and handling Scent Detection Dogs with our handlers having successfully located several missing people.
Riverland Scent Dogs collaborates with several other private Search and Rescue organisations across Australia in order to maintain high level of skill and continue our learning and development.
Our Scent Detection Teams (K9 and Handler) undertake regular, rigorous assessments to ensure they are up to the task. We have qualified Trainer/Assessors in our team with many years experience who continue to ensure high quality of assessment.
We are available at the request of police to support with the search of missing people at no cost to the community or tax-payer.
